World Regional Geography is a survey of geographic realms. It is an interdisciplinary course drawing on tools from the natural and social sciences, as well as the humanities, in order to uncover the significance of the spatial distribution of physical and human patterns within and across geographic regions. Particular emphasis will be gien to the interaction of cultures with their physical invironments and with each other. SEveral themes, including environmental degradation, economic and cultural globalization, and political fragmentation will link the course content to contemporary responses. These will be seen within the context of humanity's responsibility for the stewardly and peacable development of creation.
